Montrose Beach
Many Scottish locals dash to this 3 mile stretch of golden sands whenever holiday time comes round. Starting at the mouth of the North Esk River you are treated to incredible views as you stroll along the seafront.
Toward the south, you can see the stunning vista that features Scurdieness lighthouse. This is a family beach with lots to keep children occupied, such as the Seafront Splash play zone.
There are pools, a cafe, ice cream parlour and for those not quite up to golf links standard – a pitch and putt course. If you like it so much that you’d like to stay longer, there is a campsite near the harbour.
